Arizona Passes Bill Allowing Additional Digital

Insider has been tracking proposed Arizona legislation sponsored by Senator Sonny Borrelli, R-Lake Havasu City.  The Arizona State Senate agreed this week to allow digital billboards in northwest Arizona. JCDecaux Loves Changing Weather

JCDecaux Dynamic recently integrated a standard weather data feed into their SmartContent CMS (content management system), and set up some rules. 4 different GORE-TEX videos were uploaded depicting different weather conditions. A Proposal To Add Digital Boards In Part Of Arizona

Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli is proposing to amend a 2012 law which limits digital billboards to a defined area of central and southwest Arizona. Those limits were crafted following negotiations between the sign industry and “dark sky” advocates, including astronomers who said they did not want a new source of light pollution. The 2012 deal followed an appellate court ruling that internally illuminated billboards with changing messages were illegal along state highways.
