Rate This Ad by Out of Home Creative

Rate This Ad allows a billboard designer to rate a billboard ad using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great).  Then the designer recommends how to improve the ad.  This week’s rating is provided by Melody Roberts, an OBIE nominated billboard designer and founder of Out of Home Creative, an outdoor advertising design firm specializing in out of home design for businesses, agencies, media buyers and out of home companies. Melody has been in the outdoor industry since 1999. Insider uses and endorses her services.

  • If all our clients would let us design their OOH advertising like this, we’d have a lot of amazing billboards out there.
  • Anyone who reads my ratings/articles knows I preach how just an image or tagline is enough along with who the advertiser is. This is the perfect example of that and reminds me of a statistic Eddy Herty/VP, National Creative Director of OUTFRONT STUDIOS shared in an article published by Billboard Insider, “According to a study at the University of Minnesota, The Human Brain processes images 60,000 times faster than text and 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual.
