Chattanooga, Tenn.— In honor of National Military Appreciation Month Plainview Outdoor launched an appreciation campaign that features veterans and active service members on the company’s digital billboards in East Tennessee.

The appreciation billboards, which are free of charge, each feature a veteran or active service member’s name, photo, and branch of service. The campaign launched May 3 and will continue through Sunday, May 30.

“As a company, we are always looking for ways in which we can give back to our community, and being able to honor the brave men and women who serve our country is a privilege,” said Josh Plain, COO of Plainview Outdoor Advertising.

Appreciation and thank you messages for service members were displayed on Plainview Outdoor Advertising’s digital billboards nearly 32,000 times during Military Appreciation Month.

Veterans’ friends, family members, and employers submitted the information and photos for the billboards through social media. Tammy Muniz submitted a request for an appreciation board to thank her husband, Manny Muniz, for his service.

“It was a thrill to see my face up on the billboard and reminded me of the pride in serving as a Marine,” Manny said. Billboards honoring Manny were displayed in Chattanooga May 10-16.

While most of Plainview Outdoor’s billboards are in Chattanooga, the company used its billboards in other cities to honor veterans as well.

“Plainview’s military appreciation campaign was a breath of fresh air for our community,” said Allison Sousa of Lenoir City. “With the current climate of divisiveness in our nation, it was heartwarming to see our servicemen and women recognized in their hometowns for their patriotism, dedication, and sacrifice. Our family was honored to have our Marine included in the campaign.”
