Huntington Outdoor Gives New Life to an Old Building

Huntington Outdoor founder Justin Powell at Huntington’s soon to be new headquarters.

Huntington Outdoor recently bought an empty church in Gordon, Ohio and converted the space into offices.  Billboard Insider talked with Haleigh Powell Bayer about the project.

Haley, how did the project come about?

We used to have two offices about 45 mins apart. This January we bought this old church building and converted it into the combined offices we now use. The church that was meeting here joined with another church close-by and decided to use their building. This beautiful building was sitting empty and we couldn’t have that! My dad and my brother Chase did most of the work themselves.

How long did it take?

The whole project took about 6 months.

How many employees will work here?

About 30 employees. I don’t know how many people come in each week, it varies as everyone has different roles and some of them are on the road a lot.

Billboard Insider’s take: Great to see an out of home advertising company staying true to its roots and repurposing a building in the community.  Kudos to Huntington.

    Great space! Congratulations.

  3. Love that the stained glass was kept, honoring the integrity of the building’s original purpose which is a testament to the honor, integrity and purpose of Justin and his team at Huntington Billboards. Great company, great people.
