Do you know how important small businesses are? Almost 45% of economic activity in the U.S is created by small businesses, that’s how important each small business is!

Small businesses have taken a hit and have seemingly started to struggle overnight, or have they? Coronavirus has been hurting small businesses all over the country. Here at Huntington Outdoor, we work with hundreds of small business owners throughout Ohio. These are the business owners making the hard decisions to let go of employees they have employed for years, to cut their business hours in half, and sadly it is forcing some to close doors they hope to one day reopen. Just a few months ago, everywhere you looked businesses prospered and everyone was hiring. We have come to the days of hard and painful decisions and all seems bleak. But don’t worry, it’s not! We have also seen businesses buckling down and making wise decisions that keep their doors open and the economy moving forward.

Here is the truth about Coronavirus and what we are seeing in the Midwest. The government is literally pumping money into individuals and businesses, a huge comeback is just around the corner. We have noticed over the past few months how resilient businesses are and how much they WANT to be back to their pre-coronavirus business life. The state of Ohio is slowly opening up throughout the month of May.

This phased opening of Ohio will be slow, but will be a WIN! Ohio has one of the top GDP’s in the country and was in a great economic possession going into this unprecedented time. We have a thriving agriculture, manufacturing, fracking, technology, medical, etc industries and we are ready to come back strong, ready for the success that 2020 promised us!

May and June are typically some of our best and most productive months of the year, and we are predicting the later months of 2020 will be more fast paced than normally as well. Business owners have been sitting on their hands waiting for the economy to open back up. Consumers are bored out of their minds wanting to get out of the house to eat, buy, have fun, repair, invest, experience things, etc. Ohio business owners, let’s prove the na-sayers wrong. As Ohioians surge into May, we are excited to get them on our billboards and push the economy. Let’s bring our economy back strong and the jobs back to Ohioians. Prove Them Wrong!
