Scott Wells says the first quarter is slow but next year looks OK

Things slowed down toward the end of last year.  The beginning of this year has not been great…the pieces are there for a good year.

Reilly on Measurement

I sat in on your session on measurement.  What I heard is let’s get the foundation right and lay over that…whatever data people want to use.  As an industry that’s the part we have to get right.

We welcome the MRC to accredit…it’s a very similar model in Europe and it makes all the sense in the world.

Wells says some customers aren’t obsessed with measurement 

Many of our local customers don’t need measurement because they can feel it and see it in their business…striking a balance is important.

Reilly on programmatic. 

Our overall digital book is about $600 million and of that it’s about $30…Eventually you (Place Exchange) are going to figure out how to use this to sell static.  That’s a big deal.

Wells on artificial intelligence

We’ve been using Ai for a couple years in our back office…we’re using it in sales with coaching tools for inside working teams…it could be potentially used on the creative side…could you use it to generate more ideas?

Reilly on artificial intelligence   

Ai is going to have an impact…it’s not obvious how…Wouldn’t it be interesting if you had your applicant push a button on Chatgpt…yield management.  I can see a tool we can hand to our general managers and help them price better…the creative process…certainly it’s going to make it more productive…and the sales process…I can know your kids names, where you went to college…and push a button and I have a pitch tailored to you and your personality profile.

Talent.  It’s important that we have a cycle of great new minds.
