Vinyl Works has recently hired Tara Kuminski as their Vice President of Large Format. Tara has 17 years of experience across the Out of Home space, spanning large and small format, in-store, experiential activations and installation platforms.

Insider reached out to Ricardo Marquez, the founder of Vinyl Works for more information on the company.

Ricardo, how and when did you get Vinyl Works started?

Vinyl Works was started in March, 2016. I had already been working in the OOH industry for 20 + years, spanning multiple markets with positions ranging from business development, to media buyer, and just about everything in between. By owning and operating my own assets I was able to deal with clients and vendors varying from bus operators to direct buyers, agencies, designers, printers and installers.

This is when I realized there was a major gap in communication that needed to be filled as the entire process did not appear to be completely seamless. Our team has been able to create a top-notch company which brings projects to life from beginning to end. Since my career has led me to see all sides of the industry first hand, I had this passion to create this specialty for all of our clients. Vinyl Works specializes in the creation / production / installation and launching of advertising campaigns in the top 30 markets and continue to expand into areas of high demand.

What markets do you provide service?

We provide to the Top 30 DMA’s and have access and or ability to make ideas come to reality just about anywhere.

Do you have employees in each market or do you work with contractors?

We have employees in the markets that have the highest demand for what we do, and have vetted and cultivated reliable partner relationships in multiple other markets. We stand behind our product, partners and are vested in brilliant service.

What is one of the more interesting projects your company has completed?

We feel each project has a distinctive purpose and goal that we strive to achieve. We were part of the team that just completed this light house in the Bahamas. Really amazing project especially if you consider Mother Nature and it’s surprises!!
