US Billboard Revenues Beyond Covid – Transit and Street Furniture Close the Gap

Billboard revenues are surging, transit and place based revenues are coming back and place based revenues continue to lag versus pre covid.  That’s what’s apparent in the third quarter 2022 revenue figures reported yesterday by the OAAA.

  • US billboard revenues grew 7% in the third quarter of 2022 and are 11% above where they were pre-covid.
  • US street furniture revenues grew 5% in the third quarter of 2022 and are 7% below where they were pre-covid.
  • US transit revenue grew 24% in the third quarter of 2022 and is 19% below pre-covid.
  • US placed based revenue grew 31% in the third quarter of 2022 but is still 48% below pre-covid.  Has the covid-induced shift to to remote offices impacted place-based business?
