Stu Lipscomb Named President at Pioneer Outdoor

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Stuart Lipscomb has been named President of Pioneer Outdoor, a position previously held by Larry Lipscomb. “Stuart represents the fourth generation in outdoor advertising, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to hand over the company’s leadership to him,” says current managing member, Larry Lipscomb. Through Stuart’s sales leadership, the company has grown both organically as well as through acquisition, from an initial 32 traditional billboard faces to it’s current 77 traditional faces and 32 digital faces. Pioneer Outdoor is now the largest provider of digital billboard advertising in Springfield, MO.

In 1952, Lester E. Cox purchased a billboard company of which Lester’s son-in-law, Jack Lipscomb, would take over in 1958. Jack’s son, Larry Lipscomb, joined the business in 1974 and was promoted to president in 1989. Pioneer Advertising would become the largest billboard provider in Missouri, with over 3,000 billboard faces and was later sold in 1997. Larry and Stuart started Pioneer Outdoor in 2011 to build a business together with Stuart overseeing sales.

Stuart, 33, is married to Lauren (Fulp) Lipscomb with two daughters, Helen and Ruth. He currently serves as the president of the board for The Diaper Bank of the Ozarks, board of directors for the Gillioz Theater, board of trustees of Cox College, the Cox Health Advisory Board, and maintains a passion for his community and the people in it.
