Robert “Bob” Dahl, age 71, of Bourbonnais, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. He was 71 years old.
He was born August 9, 1945 in Kankakee, the son of Harold Curtis & Marguerite Joy Brumbaugh Dahl.
Bob was the founder and president of Key Outdoor Inc. He was former president of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Illinois. Key was started in 1977 and has grown to approximately 2,000 faced in Illinois, Iowa and Missouri.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew & Emily Dahl; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela Dahl & Todd Sippel; four grandchildren, Noah Sippel, Henry Sippel, Luke Sippel, and Nicholas Dahl; one sister and brother-in-law, Becky & John Donahue; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bill Dahl, Mike Dahl, Keith & Mary Dahl, and Fred & Paulette Dahl; and his longtime companion and dear friend, Bonnie Thompson.
