A lot has been written about the making of a great OOH media sales pro…. Mark Natzke (known around the Green Bay/Milwaukee area as Mipps??!), who passed unexpectedly on Aug 25 at the age of 53 in his home in Wauwatosa, WI., embodied that and much more.
Mark was a Senior Account Executive for 22+ years for Clear Channel Outdoor/Milwaukee (earlier working for Orde and Adams Outdoor). His book of business included some of the largest accounts within CCO/USA. Likely it was his work ethic as a dairy farm kid that propelled him to win numerous Rocky’s Ring Awards (Presidents Club). We all wished we had his talent and success!
I met Mark when I worked at Clear Channel Outdoor/Minneapolis, St. Paul at a joint training meeting. We stayed in touch and shared stories and humor. I only found out about a year ago that we shared a love of The Simpsons…so like me, he was a little warped
He was passionate, generous, hilarious, fun-loving, humble, kind, and (watch out) fiercely competitive! His VP of Sales, Eric Hamme said: “He poured his soul into everything he did. Mark had developed into not only the team leader in terms of performance, but he was the team’s emotional and spiritual leader too. “
Mark was the very most powerful kind of leader. He led, not with a title but, through integrity, respect, example and hard work.Mark’s generous legacy was living his life of faith, providing scholarships for students in need at NEW Lutheran High School,
working with Brothers/Sisters in Christ (BASIC) (where he volunteered in Nicaragua annually), board memberships for the Ronald McDonald House, and the NEW Lutheran High School.
Such an incredible force of energy, now gone from here, leaving us with a deep and profound sadness.
