Three leaders of the US-based Out of Home industry are set to join the World Out of Home Organization Annual Congress in London this summer. They are Sean Reilly, CEO Of the US’s biggest OOH company Lamar; Nick Brien, the new CEO of OutFront Media, a former boss of McCann Worldgroup and IPG Mediabrands, and Anna Bager, President & CEO of the Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA).
The Congress will be held at the London Hilton Park Lane between June 3-5.
Lamar’s Reilly will discuss the enduring importance and impact of billboards, still the biggest source of global OOH revenue, and the way the medium supports and stimulates SMEs in the wider economy.
Brien was one of the founders of pioneering media agency BBJ before going on to manage Leo Burnett in the UK and then the two global IPG companies. He will outline the practices that need to change on the OOH media owner side if is going to break into the bigger pool of brand users. He will also address the areas he sees holding the medium back.
Bager, a former head of the IAB before the OAAA, will moderate a panel session of major brand representatives discussing the role OOH plays in their overall brand strategies.
WOO President Tom Goddard says: “We are very fortunate in having three such industry leaders at Congress to share their experience of one of the world’s biggest OOH market and the lessons we can all learn from it. This is the way the industry moves forward: through co-operation, collaboration and shared innovation.
“Anna Bager is always an inspiring presence at Congress. Sean Reilly gave a truly inspiring address at our Congress in Toronto, the first after lockdown. And I look forward to catching up with Nick Brien again. He’s that rare example of a British executive scaling the commanding heights of American business and he brings vast, multifaceted industry knowledge and insights we can all learn from. These really are top speakers for a top industry event.”
