Rate This Ad allows a billboard designer to rate a random piece of billboard artwork using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great). Then the designer talks about what they may have done differently for outdoor advertising.   • Open. Fresh. Safe. Get Produce, cheese, meat, and goodies at the Farmers Market.  This ad’s mission is accomplished.
  • This ad does an excellent job of using the medium to convey a brief memorable message via text and visuals.
  • The background draws the eye, the headline is short, the colorful images are easy to interpret, and the logo is fairly easy to read.
  • If I could change anything it would be to make the small words the same size as the larger words and put the entire business name on one line across the bottom of the board. However, since the advertiser has been around since the 1950’s I presume the logo is well-known and recognizable at a glance to the locals and regulars.
  • This ad earns a rock solid 4 (very good).
