  • This week we’re looking at another awareness ad. This one cleverly emphasizes a word in the headline by using the claw we all associate with a scrap yard. The designer did a nice job making certain the word was still legible without compromising the instant recognition of the claw.
  • The pile of scrap metal serves as an anchor for the visual and a contrasting background for the business info. I would have liked to see that text a little bigger and bolder, but I’m not going to dock points for it.
  • This ad is attention-getting, a quick read, and memorable. It earns a 5 (great).
