Ohio Outdoor’s Ben Harbaugh on Helping Customers

With so many other operators willing to share what is working for them, I wanted to also provide some insight into how we have been trying to help customers – or even future customers.  A week or so ago, we opened up a shared slot on one of our digital billboards for small businesses to communicate information – at no cost.  The organizations that have taken us up on that offer have ranged from restaurants to food pantries.
We have then started to share those advertisers that have participated in social media posts and in our local Facebook groups.  Our posts engagements have been significantly higher (compared to our typical posts) and we are gaining 8-10 new “Likes” on our Facebook page, per post.
Right now, we are helping our community in a time of need.  In the future, I think this investment into our community will help us gain loyal customers.
