OAAA adds Dawn Del Mastro to Board

The Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA) announced today it had appointed Dawn Del Mastro to serve on its Board of Directors. She fills the seat left vacant after the passing of her father, Rick Del Mastro.

Ms. Del Mastro had previously held the position of president at City Outdoor until her promotion to CEO this past April. Earlier in her career, she held various roles at advertising agencies FCB and Young & Rubicam.

OAAA President & CEO Anna Bager commented, “I’m thrilled Dawn has joined the Board. Her range of viewpoints and expertise will undoubtedly help us accelerate the growth of our great medium. Not only does she have extensive OOH knowledge but, her experience as a business leader is impressive.”

OAAA Board of Directors Chairman Sean Reilly said, “I am delighted to have Dawn join the Board. She comes from a family with a storied past in the OOH business, and her experience combined with a deep passion for the industry will add greatly to the Board as we continue to move the industry forward.”

Ms. Del Mastro became CEO of the company her father started after he passed away this spring, due to complications from COVID-19. Family friend Drew Katz remembers, “Rick was a business partner, friend, and mentor to me. Over the years, he built many successful OOH companies, was a dedicated family man, civic leader, and philanthropist. I am heartened to know Dawn will carry on his legacy.”

OAAA’s Board of Directors is comprised of OOH media company executives representing all facets of the OOH industry, including billboards, street furniture, transit, and place-based companies. The Board is the governing body of OAAA, representing 800+ media companies, advertisers, agencies, ad-tech providers, and suppliers.

“I’m honored to join the OAAA Board and eager to share my industry experience,” said Dawn Del Mastro. “I hope to deliver the same insights about the OOH business as my father.”
