New South Outdoor Makes Alabama Acquisitions

New South Outdoor has purchased the digital and static billboard assets of 360 Media in Oxford/Anniston, AL, DPW Outdoor in northeast Alabama and MR Digital in northeast Alabama.  Marty Williamson of Williamson & Associates brokered the transactions. The combined group of locations created a great opportunity for Neil Bell at New South Outdoor, who now has 88 digital faces/views and 8 static faces in the North East Alabama region including Oxford, Anniston, Gadsden, Jacksonville, and Rainbow City.  These prime locations give New South the best digital presence in the area with great sites at key commercial and retail locations. Insider talked with New South’s Neil Bell.

What interested you in these boards?

We saw that these guys had done a good job developing some great locations but we felt there was an opportunity for us to come in and increase rates and occupancy. Putting these three companies together will open us up to sell regionally and attract a few larger customers. 

What are New South’s future plans?
First and foremost, we are going to work hard to get these signs operating at their maximum potential. We also have a dozen new builds we are working on in the North East Alabama area.
