3M fall protection products which are being recalled.

3M is recalling some fall protection products: Twin-Leg Nano-Lok edge and Twin-Leg Nano-Lok Wrap Back Self-Retracting Lifelines.  This is a proactive recall.  There have been no actual safety incidents or injuries.  Here’s the press release.

The Advocate reports that Lamar has been funding a five year internship program for Lousiana Governer John Bel Edwards.  Thirteen interns are hired each year to study state government and make recommendations for improvements.  This looks to Insider to be a win-win-win initiative.  Students get a chance to see state government up close and to develop analysis skills.  No tax dollars are used.  The state of Louisiana gets the benefit of the students insights.  Lamar maintains a great relationship with State government.

Fully-autonomous cars which drive themselves are at least 12 years away says Mark Rosekind, head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration under President Barack Obama in a New York Times article on autonomous cars.
