Nancy Fletcher to Join Lamar Board

Nancy Fletcher, President and CEO Emeritus of the OAAA has been nominated to join Lamar Advertising’s Board of Directors.   Some other things Insider noted in Lamar’s proxy statement which was released Friday.

Lamar’s Board Will Have More Women and Fewer Insiders

Women will account for 33% of 3 of Lamar’s 9 board seats versus an average of 25% of board seats for a typical S&P 500 company.  In 2018 Lamar’s board had only 1 woman (Anna Reilly).  The addition of Elizabeth Thompson (last year) and Nancy Fletcher (this year) makes three.  Insiders (Kevin Reilly, Anna Reilly, Wendall Reilly) account for 33% of Lamar’s board seats down from 43% of board seats last year.

Who Makes What.

Here’s a list of who made what at Lamar last year.  Most of the Lamar executives compensation comes from stock awards.

Insider’s take:  Fletcher is an industry-smart addition to a board which needed more women.  You have to also admire the way Lamar tilts salaries towards incentive comp and stocks versus salary.
