Baton Rouge, LA – July 15, 2026 – Lamar Advertising, one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the world, today announced that Valley Metro, the public transit agency in Maricopa County, Arizona, has selected Lamar Transit to manage a full-range advertising sales program for a five-year term beginning July 1, 2026.
Lamar will manage all advertising assets on the outside of Valley Metro’s 250 buses, along the exterior and interior of its approximately 60 light rail vehicles, and on kiosks and signage located at light rail stations.

Valley Metro provides services across a 500-square-mile area in Maricopa County. The agency operates a two-line light rail system with 35 miles of track and 51 stations across the Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa areas. The agency also operates a network of 50 local and express bus routes throughout the East and West Valley. The addition of Valley Metro further strengthens Lamar Transit’s presence in one of the nation’s fastest-growing transit markets and reinforces its position as a leading transit advertising partner across the Phoenix region.
