iHeart’s Bob Pittman on benefits of splitting radio and out of home.

iHeart’s CEO Bob Pittman has newfound skepticism about the synergies of owning radio and out of home.  Here’s a snippet of Pittman’s 5 minute Bloomberg Markets interview.  He had these comments:

“…splitting the outdoor company from the iHeart Media segment, which is primarily audio, allows us to align the company’s better for investors.  Because what we found was…the investors that really love outdoor are not necessarily the ones that really love audio and vice-versa.  So we’ve not got some pure plays for them.”
