Happy Martin Luther King Day

Insider wanted to feature some of his Martin Luther King billboards in honor of the day and King’s work.  We asked Out of Home Creative’s Melody Roberts to talk about her favorite Martin Luther King billboards.

“I think it’s unfortunate that we still have to send a message to people in hopes that we can, one day, become one nation where everyone is equal. Until we get to that day, a straightforward one-word message hits hard. I love the simplicity of this billboard design. I understand and support what Dr. Martin Luther King stood for; I think it’s wonderful that our industry has a platform where it can continue to honor him and support his message for everyone to see”

“This metal structure is in my hometown of Atlanta, GA. I’ve driven by it many times. It is a constant reminder of who Dr. Martin Luther King was and what he stood for. The piece, located at the corner of Freedom Parkway and Boulevard, is called “Homage to King” and was designed by Spanish sculptor Xavier Medina-Campeny in 1996.”
