Grey Outdoor Acquires Wig Outlet Billboards

Grey Outdoor LLC has acquired the assets of The Wig Outlet in Robeson County.  Insider talked with Grey Vick about the transaction.

What did you buy?

8 wood billboard structures.  The assets located on I-95 just south of Exit 40 near the Robeson and Cumberland County line. These locations are near one another and would be great for a good old-fashioned Burma Shave showing. Part of the divesture includes a sign located on US301 in Hope Mills.  These signs were built in the 1970’s and used by Mr. Billy Matthews (Mr. B) to advertise their family Wig Outlet business. Mr. and Mrs. Matthews recently retired and decided to sell their sign assets to Grey Outdoor. Mr. B often remarked on how critical these signs have been to his business.

How did you finance the deal?

We purchased the signs with cash.  No financing or terms.

How big is Grey Outdoor now?

We have over 500 static faces and 11 digitals in North and South Carolina.  We will continue to grow aggressively through 2020 and 2021.
