Fotofetch Shots of the Week

Common elements that great images typically have; Good use of light,  capturing the moment, correct composition for the given situation, and the photographer’s choice of distance to their subject.  Nowhere is that more true than in shooting Billboards and Out of Home.

Those 3 elements combine to make for an okay photo or a great one.  Good use of light can be achieved by considering the sun’s position and taking advantage of natural light.  Capturing the moment can be done by waiting for the best time to snap the photo, watching for traffic, and finding a unique angle. Correct composition is essential and is determined by the photographer based on the situation, such as using the rule of thirds, cropping the subject, or using the right depth of field. Finally, the photographer’s choice of distance to the subject is important, as it can give a great approach photo an entirely different look and feel.
