Football’s Biggest Game Features Daktronics Products at Hard Rock Stadium

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Jan. 29, 2020 – The biggest football game of the year is set to kick off this Sunday in Miami, Florida, at Hard Rock Stadium, a venue featuring multiple Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) LED displays. The four corners of the stadium will bring video content to fans while the longest ribbon board in professional sports will surround fans with information and graphics.

The stadium features four corner video displays, three ribbon boards and an external video display – all featuring 13HD pixel layouts. The main displays each measure roughly 49 feet high by 111.5 feet wide while the longest ribbon board measures 3.5 feet high by 2,105 feet long.

“Our equipment and displays are use at the largest moments in sports and that remains true at this year’s professional football championship game,” said Daktronics Vice President of Live Events Jay Parker. “We’ve been partners with the Miami Dolphins and their stadiums since the early 1990s and have remained a resource for them through the years. In 2019, we installed the new ribbon display at Hard Rock Stadium to help them provide the very best possible game-day experience for this season and, ultimately, this game on Sunday.”

When the game kicks off, Daktronics will already have been at Hard Rock Stadium to prepare for the event running pre-event checks. The company will also have four employees on site – two event technicians and two control room specialists – to ensure the game runs smoothly from the LED production side.

“Our customers have peace-of-mind knowing that when they partner with Daktronics they have a team who is supporting them,” said Daktronics Vice President of Services Sarah Rose. “With personnel on site for this game, and the many other large events we support throughout the year, we make ourselves available to ensure everything runs as expected. This is something extra our company provides above and beyond the equipment itself. On Sunday, we’ll be supporting Hard Rock Stadium as they host the largest sporting event of the year.”
