Eccleshare’s Elevator Pitch for Out of Home

Clear Channel Outdoor Chairman and CEO William Eccleshare was interviewed by Yahoo Finance from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange during Clear Channel Outdoor’s first day of trading.  He was asked to make the case for Out of Home and here’s what he said:

“It’s a good moment for us.  Out of home media has been growing very well the last few years.  We’ve been growing faster than any of the traditional media.  Faster than TV, print or radio.  And I think many marketeers are finding that the magic of Facebook and Google isn’t quite what they thought it was going to be a few years ago.  A lot of the data isn’t as robust as they’d hoped.  And I think you’re seeing a swing back to media like outdoor just because it’s big and it’s public.  And that has a great power for people.”
