David Flint, Rest In Peace

Insider received the following note that Scott Peters of Schreeder, Wheeler & Flint passed along to the Outdoor Advertising Association of Georgia.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I pass along the news of David Flint’s passing last evening. David passed peacefully surrounded by his family after a hard-fought bought with an illness that finally got the best of him. In typical David fashion, he was still coming to the office and loved to stay in the game until the very end.

David was a true friend, mentor and partner of mine for many years. I will never forget the great influence he had on my life, both professionally and personally. He was an icon in the outdoor advertising business, and never did I think that when he offered me a job more than 25 years ago that he would introduce me to so many of you who have been not only our clients, but our very good friends, all these many years. I think we all have many great David stories to share, and I encourage us all to think of those good times now.

Given the current health environment, we are not currently sure of his families plans for the arrangements. I will endeavor to pass them along when they are received.”

Another comment from OAAA Counsel Eric Rubin:

“David represented Turner Outdoor (as in Ted Turner) and a number of other outdoor interests in Georgia.

He was a frequent speaker at industry legal seminars, and was smart, well-liked, and knowledgeable. Most notably, he won a major just compensation case before the Georgia Supreme Court, and he also handled many other matters for the industry in Georgia.”

David Flint was a founding partner of the firm Schreeder, Wheeler & Flint, where he developed  a practice focused on the outdoor advertising industry in a wide variety of issues. His firm has represented outdoor advertising clients for more than forty years.
