Stephen Johnson

Stephen and Linda Johnson own Waller Outdoor, initially serving the Waller, Texas community.  They own and operate a two-sided Daktronics digital structure.   Insider caught up with Stephen to discuss the business.  The sign location is on Bus. Hwy. 290 and is 1 1/2 blocks from the downtown traffic light, near banks and credit unions, restaurants, the new city hall and civic plaza and the Post Office.

Stephen, you have several years now operating your digital sign.  How’s your progress been and what have you learned?

We’ve obviously learned a lot in the past couple of years operating our two digitals. We continue to stay about 80% sold out and are optimistic that we’ll continue that trend.
We’ve learned that allowing our small businesses and non-profits to lean on us when they need help with their events helps us keep our slots filled. It’s important to maintain that community support.
