How did you get into the out of home business?

Around 10 years ago we erected our first billboard on North Rock Road in Wichita, KS. After several years of having one location with 2 faces we decided to build another location, and another location. The next thing we knew we had opportunities to partner with land owners all across the city and rarely say no to a deal. Now we have 11 billboards across the entire city of Wichita, Kansas and sell direct to business owners, out of home advertising agencies, and many more. This allows KSBillboards.com to cut out the middleman contractor/ reseller charging a steep 25% commission and get our clients the best deals in the Wichita, KS billboard out of home advertising space.

Whose digital signs do you use and what have you learned?

This is a big question. The technology, service, and people behind the Watchfire team are parallel to none. We made some mistakes over the years. For years we invested our dollars back into the local market through local contractors and at the end of the day those signs just didn’t hold up like our Watchfire ones have. I wouldn’t change anything though. I’ve met a lot of amazing people throughout the entire Midwest in the billboard business.

Are you using any of the automated sales platforms?

No. I wish we could have a different answer here, but I’m sold out on all of our locations right now on KSbillboards.com. We need to build MORE locations and are open to offers every day anywhere in the Midwest.

What are some of your objectives for the coming year?

Saying Yes to everyone! Yes, to hiring more team members. Yes, to every lease and purchase that comes my way. Yes, to investing in a new market. Yes, to taking KSBillboards.com to the next level.
