Graham Outdoor is an independent family owned company which operates a billboard plant with 54 faces in Georgia and 12 faces in Florida.  The company was started in 2003 and is owned by Shannon and Tammie Graham.  In 2018 the company purchased Divine Outdoor in Florida.

Shannon, how did you get involved in out of home.

I got involved in ooh by purchasing some hunting property in Ga back 16 years ago along I-16. My wife and mother in law had the idea to utilize it by putting a billboard up. Started with one and now have 20 in Ga., several which I own the property as well.

How has coronavirus impacted your company?

This time has been very hard for all business, especially small businesses. We have lost several advertisers and have put many more on hold to re-evaluate after 30-45 days. We try to work with all our customers because we are all in this together.

Are you up to thee digital billboards. 

No just two currently.

What have you learned about digital?

Digital is different.  I feel it takes a little more selling for digital. Most bigger clients seem to gravitate toward static, and renew yearly. With digital boards you may have clients that advertise a few months then stop. You may find a customer or two that sticks with it long term but nothing like the statics. You may have the availability to make more money digital but you have to put twice the work into it.
