Dusty’s operates a billboard plant with 424 structures with 28 in the construction process in four mid-western states.  The company’s goal is to have 500 faces by the end of 2019, excluding acquisitions.

The company has an outstanding website which tied for third in Billboard Insider’s 2017 Out of Home Website Rankings.  Dusty’s is an operator associate in the IBOUSA.  Dick Rhodes is the company’s founder and President.  Travis Rhodes is VP – Sales and Marketing.  Kathy Van Sant is VP of Operations. Sandie Culver is accounts receivable, payable and billing.  Bobby Hart is Southwest Regional VP and Micky Carman is Regional Direction of Real Estate.  Dusty’s acquired Tennessee-based Woods Media in March 2017 and Tennessee-based Moore Media in January 2017.   Insider talked with Travis Rhodes.

Still looking for acquisitions?

Yes, we are always looking to grow our plant. We have a couple of acquisitions in the works and hopefully close within the next few months.  We also have 10 construction projects going currently with more in the pipeline.  We recently hired a one of the best real estate guru’s in the United States and he is tearing it up!!

You’ve converted your plant from vinyl straps to Sign Springs.  What went into your decision and what’s been your experience?

We have only converted a hand full of locations to Springs. The Springs work great, easy to use and save us a lot on install time.

Who does your vinyl printing?

Camel City Posters.  They are a fantastic crew to work with and great turnaround time!!

Do you have any digital signs?  If so who do you use and what have you learned?

No digital yet!!  Still trying to get approval on city and state permits.
