Broadway Outdoor is part of the Broadway Media Group, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Originally founded as Simmons Media in 1977, Broadway Media specializes in radio broadcasting, with seven terrestrial radio stations. They also provide digital media solutions, produce a variety of podcasts, and organize many large scale local concerts and events every year.

In 2014, Broadway Media began operating four digital billboards near Orem along the I-15 Interstate, in Utah County, and Broadway Outdoor was developed to manage these billboards. They also manage outdoor digital signage along the Wasatch Front for Real Salt Lake, and Wasatch Properties.
