Burkhart Advertising is a family owned and operated business founded in 1964 that manages over 3,500 billboard units and multiple properties in Northern Indiana. In 1972, Charles B. Burkhart acquired Adway Signs, a small on-premise sign manufacturer. For forty years Burkhart Signs Systems provided custom fabricated signs, neon signs, service and installation to the South Bend community and many of its neighboring markets.

The sale of Burkhart Sign Systems will allow Burkhart Advertising the opportunity to place greater focus on its core business. Burkhart Advertising will continue to provide its customers with the highest levels of customer service while having an aggressive approach to adding the products required of an out of home advertising company. Hayes Design Inc. has an extensive background in sales and marketing and dedication to their clients. They will continue using the name Burkhart Sign Systems into the near future.
