Adquick data shows traffic rebounding from covid-19 lows.

Adquick data based on a sampling of 10% of US mobile phones shows that traffic is beginning to rebound from covid-19 lows.

Traffic increased in 189 of the 210 DMA’s for the week ended April 13 versus the week ended April 6.  In other words more people were driving in 89% of the country versus the previous week.

Traffic was down by a median of 43% from pre-covid19 levels across all 210 DMA’s for the week ended April 13 versus a median decline of 51% from pro-covid19 levels for the week ended April 6.

The 10 DMA’s showing the largest declines versus pre-covid 19 are:

  1. Puerto Rico  -85%
  2. San Francisco  -69%
  3. New York  -68%
  4. Los Angeles  -64%
  5. San Diego  -63%
  6. Wash DC  -60%
  7. Chicago  -58%
  8. Harlingen  -58%
  9. Detroit  -58%
  10. Minneapolis  -58%

The 10 DMA’s with the smallest traffic declines versus pre-covid 19 are:

  1. Ottuma  -20%
  2. Sioux City  -22%
  3. Twin Falls, ID  -23%
  4. North Platte  -23%
  5. Glendive, MT  -25%
  6. Quincy  -26%
  7. Idaho Falls -26%
  8. Sherman, TX  -27%
  9. Des Moines  -28%
  10. Cheyenne  -28%
