US Out of Home revenues grew 41% in the first quarter of 2022. When you look into the numbers you can see Place Based, Transit and Street revenues grew in triple digits versus 22% growth for Billboards. High growth for Place Based, Transit and Street furniture is due to the fact that their revenues declined the most during covid.
Billboard revenues have recovered rapidly from covid and are 15% above pre-covid. Street furniture is almost level with pre-covid. Transit and Place Based revenues are still lagging. Here’s where each sector is for the first quarter of 2022 compared the the same quarter pre-covid in 2019. We compared first quarter to first quarter of eliminate the impact of seasonality.
