What We’ve Learned From Seeing Our Vinyls in the Field
One of the unique things about Lindmark Ink is that we don’t just print billboard vinyls—we’re billboard operators, too.
That means after a vinyl leaves our print shop, we get to see what happens next. We see it installed, watch it through the seasons, and drive past the same vinyl months—or even years—later.
Over time, we started noticing something that made us proud: some of our vinyls had been hanging much longer than originally expected and still looked great.
We provide a one-year warranty against product failure, but on our own billboard structures, we’ve had Lindmark Ink vinyls remain installed for three to five years and continue to hold up well.
The photos included with this article are real examples of Lindmark Ink vinyls that have been posted for three years. These Freddy’s billboards are located in Texas, where they’ve endured three years of intense sun and relentless UV exposure, including the brutal Texas summer heat. One faces west, taking on the harsh afternoon sun day after day, while the other faces north. After three years in those conditions, both vinyls are still holding up and looking great.

We See Both Sides of the Billboard Business
Being both a printer and a billboard operator gives us a little different perspective.
We know replacing a vinyl involves more than simply ordering another print. There’s shipping, coordinating an installer, scheduling the change-out, labor, and time involved in getting a crew to the structure.
We deal with those same things on our own billboard inventory.
That’s why when we print a vinyl for another operator, we think about it the same way we think about our own. We want it to look good when it goes up, but we also care about how it performs after months of being outside.
For us, that’s one of the best tests there is.
At the end of the day, we print for billboard operators because we are billboard operators. We understand what happens after the box arrives, because we’re out there hanging vinyls, maintaining structures, and managing advertising contracts just like our customers are.
And when one of our vinyls is still looking great years later, we’re reminded why the details that go into printing it matter.
