They have permanent Bulletin coverage in Travis, Williamson, Hays and Colorado counties. Mike Morrill is the owner and Insider caught up with Mike to discuss the business.

Mike, most people currently know you from your work at Williamson & Associates, but you have a long history in the business. How about some details?

Yes, that’s correct John, I spend the majority of my time working on the M&A business. It has been a great opportunity to work with Williamson & Associates (Marty, Amber & Natalie) the past few years. I started in the Outdoor business back in the late 80’s as a Lease Rep. at Adams-Atlanta (just after the acquisition of the Turner assets). Made it back to Texas a few years later and never looked back. I can’t imagine doing anything else-it’s a great industry with a lot of great people.

Metro Outdoor is active in the Texas market.  How many structures and faces does Metro operate?

Metro currently operates 14 static faces in the Austin/Central Texas area. I am a one-man show and have been for many years.

Has the business been growing since our last update back in May, 2024?

Unfortunately, no, due to some highway expansion/condemnation projects. Working on replacing those lost faces as we speak.

What are your plans for Metro going forward? 

Metro is a stable performer that continues to benefit from Austin’s highly desirable market characteristics. I do have some new things in the works for 2026.
