DBC Outdoor is a family run company which operates a billboard plant with 17 faces including 9 digital billboard faces in the Piedmont, North Carolina Triad.  The company was founded in 2021.  Taylor Dick is the company’s President.  Billboard Insider talked with Taylor Dick last week so we are updating the company’s profile.

How did you get into the out of home business?

We have been in the media and advertising industry for 73 years now, starting as the operator of an AM radio station in 1952.  During the subsequent years we continued to watch the Out of Home Advertising industry continue to grow, and our advertising clients spoke highly of the impact Out of Home Advertising created for them when combined with our radio stations.  Over the years we contemplated joining the Out of Home industry ourselves, but it took until 2021 for us to officially launch our Billboard plant.

Whose digital billboards do you use and what have you learned?

We have partnered with Formetco for all of our digitals, they have been great partners to work with as we started this new division.

What are some of your objectives for the coming year?

As we head into 2026 and beyond we are extremely excited about the future of the industry and are looking to continue building out our billboard locations.
