Rate This Ad allows a billboard designer to rate a random piece of billboard artwork using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great). Then the designer talks about what they may have done differently for outdoor advertising. Rating: 4 (very good)  

  • This billboard screams “Look at the big red truck!”   The bright red truck with the yellow, orange, and red starburst behind is grabs the target audience by the retinas and insists they look at it.
  • The large logo tells the viewer where to get themselves a big red truck.
  • The GMC logo lets them know what kind of big red truck they can get.
  • And the web address lets them know where they can find out more information about big red trucks and if there are trucks, or other vehicles, in other colors.
  • This is a very good awareness piece. The ad earns a 4 (very good).
