Havasu News notes that Bullhead City, Arizona is in favor of Arizona state legislation which would permit more digital billboards in Arizona. SB 1114 would allow for digital sign along parts of Interstate 40 (to Kingman), Highway 68 (to Laughlin), Highway 95 (Needles to Bullhead City) and Highway 93 (to Hoover dam). Bullhead City is in favor of the legislation for three reasons:
- It would permit the city to replace “single pole, ugly billboards” with modern digital signs.
- The city would receive money for each billboard.
- The city would be allowed ad space for emergency services info and city events.
Insider’s take: Glad to see Bullhead City articulate the benefits of digital billboards instead of a kneejerk no.
