Daily Billboard Blog’s 3 of a Kind: Hearts

Valentine’s Day is the special time of year when love is all around and so to mark the occasion, today Daily Billboard thought we’d look at three different ad creatives using hearts to help them stand out.
First up is a teaser billboard for the computer animated/live-action movie, Hop, from February 2011 along L.A.’s Beverly Boulevard. The fun billboard uses the film’s Easter Bunny star to shape a heart with his ears to capitalize on Valentine’s Day and pre-promote the movie’s Easter theatrical release.
The next giant billboard example is for Revlon Cosmetics and features Emma Stone making a heart on the mirror with her lipstick just in time for the romantic time of year. This billboard with the actress ready for her Valentine’s kiss was photographed along the Sunset Strip on January 7, 2015.
And the third billboard is from Freeform, signing a hand heart to help communicate the cable channel’s romantic movie programming block. This illustrated billboard reinforces the TV brand’s values of acceptance and relevance to its younger and more progressive audience and was spied along Hollywood’s Highland Avenue in February 2020.
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed these billboards spreading love around the streets and skies of Los Angeles. Come back next month when we’ll be taking a look at three streaming service outdoor launch campaigns.
