This month Daily Billboard Blog is showcasing three action shot ad creatives helping a trio of brands from different industries stand out in a big way in the city skyline.

The first eye-catching example is for energy drink Red Bull spied along West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip in July 2011. This giant-sized surfboarder billboard really lives up to the brand’s tagline of “Red Bull gives you wings”.

The next super-sized billboard is from the technology and telecommunications industry for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and was spotted high above the A4 in London, England in May 2013. This Drama Shot creative certainly captures the photography capabilities of the smartphone in a fun way.

The third example is one of Daily Billboard’s all-time favorite billboards from the fashion industry for American Eagle Outfitters, snapped along L.A.’s Olympic Boulevard in September 2015. This somersaulting special extension cut-out billboard captures the vitality of the youth-appealing brand and shows off the flexibility and dynamism of their denim offering.

As you can see from these three examples this design approach can be utilized by many different industries to help create attention-grabbing outdoor ads.
