Insider attended the IBOUSA conference in Scottsdale, AZ last week. The IBOUSA focuses on the needs and concerns of independent out of home advertising companies. You can learn more about them at IBOUSA.org.
There were 89 operators, over 40 vendors and 182 participants for the two and a half day conference. Lots of opportunities to learn, share ideas and have some fun.
Here are several key takeaways from last week:
- Manufacturers and service providers are joining together to support independent operators and create solutions to streamline operator operations.
- Digital continues to increase in importance among the IBO Associates.
- There is momentum among many IBO Associates to move to a common operating software platform.
- Advertising opportunities continue to increase as the association has created a national sales program presenting agencies with a combined network of faces, both digital and static, for their clients ad campaigns.
- The IBO is researching technology and looking for data solutions for the benefit of all of its Associates.
- The IBO Fuze operating platform, which is licensed to the IBO by Apparatix, looks like it might be a useful product for smaller operators.
Congratulations to Chris Cowlbeck and the rest of the IBOUSA leadership and staff for putting on a successful event.
