The Indianapolis Business Journal says that GEFT outdoor will ask for millions in damages from Indianapolis after a federal judge ruled that the city’s former signs ordinance was unconstitutional. GEFT is entitled to monetary damages resulting from the city’s denial of two digital sign permits under an unconstitutional sign code. For more info see Insider’s previous article on the case.
Insider’s take: Wouldn’t be surprised to see the city settle with GEFT. That’s what Indianapolis did a couple years ago when GEFT successfully sued the city for revoking a legally issued permit on a trivision sign in Indianapolis.
