If you’re driving through a small town in Indiana chances are you’ll see a good looking Burkhart steel monopole bracketing each end of town and another Burkhart monopole strategically placed in the middle of town.

 Burkhart was started by Charles B Burkhart in 1964 when he placed “I believe in South Bend” signs up around the struggling community.Today Burkhart operates a poster, bulletin and transit advertising plant with 3,500 billboard structures across 38 counties in Indiana.

Burkhart is privately held and run by third generation Burkhart family descendants.  Charles Miller is CEO.  Sara Miller is CIO.  Rob Miller is VP Operations.

In September 2021 Burkhart sold its on premise sign business to place greater emphasis on the out of home business.

The company spent over $1.2 million on digital billboard conversions in early 2018.
