History. Billboardinsider.com was launched by Dave Westburg in July 2015 to provide a free daily source of news and analysis on the out of home advertising industry. Billboard Insider fills a gap in news coverage of out of home advertising. General media magazines and websites devote a small portion of coverage to out of home advertising. There are several digital sign publications and websites but no source of daily news for all segments of out of home advertising (e.g. transit, airport, billboards, posters and digital signs).
Editorial. Dave Westburg and John Weller write articles they think will interest the 1,040 out of home executives in a database built over 20 years of investing and lending to the outdoor business. Billboard Insider posts 3-4 daily news articles and interviews on the following topics:

Billboard Insider also publishes an annual ranking of out of home advertising websites.
Readership. The site’s visitors and views have doubled during the past year. During March 2017 the site received 33,277 views from 8,916 visitors. Billboard Insider has 658 subscribers who receive every post by email. Billboard Insider facebook page has 342. The Billboard Insider Twitter feed has 171 followers. The Billboard Insider Linked In page has 66 followers.

Billboard Insider’s readership consist primarily of out of home executives as you can see from the table below.
Advertising. Advertise with Billboard Insider and you reach people obsessed with out of home advertising. Ads must be submitted in web-ready format. JPEG files preferred. No animation. Content may be changed whenever client wishes at no charge if client provides web ready banner artwork. The site has the following advertising opportunities.
Header Ad – This 300 by 200 pixel ad appears to the left of the Billboard Insider Header and also includes placement at the end of each post on the site. Rate Card is $1,500/month. The header ad also comes with a free classified listing. The ad is sold through September 2018 to Kalil and Co.
Homepage Ad – This 468 by 60 pixel ad appears in the middle of the Billboard Insider home page just below the featured articles. Rate card is $300/month. Clients buying a homepage ad also get one free classified ad listing. The ad is sold to LED National through February 2018
Right Hand Column Banner Ads – These ads appear on the right hand column of the website and at the foot of mobile versions of the website. The ads are 300 pixels by 250 pixels. Each banner ad comes with a free classified ad listing. Pricing is as follows:
