Wingate Media Runs Rejected Christian Billboard Ad

gods not dead billboard

Wingate Media Group decided to run this advertisement for the film God’s Not Dead 2 after the billboard ad  was rejected by Orange Barrel Media, a Cleveland Outdoor advertising company.  The billboard promotes a pending movie release about a school teacher who gets in trouble with the school district for mentioning Jesus when responding to a questions from a student.  The billboard was rejected by Orange Barrel Media for being “too political, too scandalous and incendiary.”  Ike Wingate feels that Orange Barrel was within its rights to decide not to show the billboard but here’s how he defended his decision to WSMV news:

“I look at basic religious freedom messaging, that’s exactly what God’s Not Dead is all about…For us that’s a message we’re not afraid of, and the fear of being politically correct is trumped by our desire to promote the positive message.”

Insider’s take: Kudos to Ike Wingate for exercising his right of conscience and freedom of speech to run this advertisement and for also acknowledging that Orange Barrel Media had the right to decline to show the board.
