Wildstone Appoints Operations Director to Drive Digitisation

Wildstone, the leading owner of outdoor media infrastructure across the UK and Europe, has appointed a European Operations Director to drive the company’s next stage of European digitisation and growth.

Yvette Meijer joins Wildstone with over 35 years’ of operations, procurement and management experience across the telco industry, having previously worked for Ericsson, Nokia, Colt Technology Services and most recently Cellnex Netherlands.

At Cellnex, Meijer served as Deputy Country MD (Netherlands), where she was responsible for both telco infrastructure and data centre services operations. Prior to Cellnex, she held different people, project and programme management positions at Colt Technology Services in the UK, Netherlands and Spain.

As European Operations Director Meijer will be working closely with Wildstone’s Global MD and COO to primarily provide strategic oversight of the European business, help run day-to-day operations and support the EU MDs in driving Wildstone’s European growth and digitisation strategy.

Since 2010 Wildstone has established itself as a leader in OOH infrastructure by developing a portfolio of over 5,000 OOH assets across the UK, Ireland, Spain, The Netherlands and Germany. The company is now working to both expand its footprint across its existing and new European markets through the acquisition of further sites, and accelerate digital transformation within these markets, by converting hundreds of traditional paper billboards into digital.

Wildstone’s expansion and digitisation drive across Europe comes at a time of unprecedented digital OOH market growth: the global digital OOH market size is forecast to double from $23 billion today to $46b by 2029, expanding at a CAGR of 15.2%.[1]  Digital OOH is currently forecast to grow faster than any other advertising channel, and at four times the rate of the paper OOH market.
