The Drive has a great article about a picture someone took of a 27 year old Toyota ad on a billboard in San Francisco. The ad was hand-painted on the sign in 1992 and rather than paint over the ad, Clear Channel has simply been stretching vinyl over the hand-painting since then When crews go out to change the vinyl drivers notice the old ad.
Insider’s Take: More proof that billboards get noticed. And who knew that hand-painting can hold up so well.
