I hope you survived Hurricane Harvey with minimal loss. My family was very fortunate to have avoided any meaningful damage. However, not all were so lucky, including the thousands of victims that suffered catastrophic wind damage to their homes and businesses in the Rockport and Aransas Pass area when the Hurricane came ashore. For this reason, I’m reaching out my good friends and clients in the billboard industry with a suggestion for much needed charitable giving, in a manner that is unique to our industry. Specifically, your used and surplus billboard vinyls would provide excellent temporary roof repairs and even shelter to those who suffered such losses. I understand that traditional tarps and similar building materials sold out weeks ago and are not available, making vinyls a valuable and very adequate substitute. Tony Gallagher of Sparta Crane & Construction (254-721-8752) has kindly stepped up and volunteered to accept delivery of these vinyls at this yard in Aransas Pass, located at the corner of Houston Street and Wilson Avenue, Aransas Pass, TX 78336. Tony has already distributed vinyls to those in need in the area, and he is to be deeply commended for his efforts. I hope you can contribute to this worthy cause as well, by making arrangements with Tony at the referenced phone number to deliver your vinyls to his Aransas Pass yard. There seems to be plenty of individuals and groups in need of our collective assistance, but please let Tony or me know if you are aware of any charities in the area which might be good recipients for your donated vinyls. Thanks for your doing your part on behalf of the out of home industry in helping those in desperate need after Harvey!
